Sabbaths at a General Conference session are pretty special. For starters everything is big. And you know how they say everything is bigger in Texas? Yeah, it's true. Sabbath school was super fun with great teachers and fun activities. Then it was on to church in the big house aka--the Alamodome. If you've never watched a preacher speak on a jumbotron, you are missing out! The music was great and there were so many people excited to be there.
In the afternoon the exhibit hall was opened and we spent some time meeting people and giving away more KidsViews and hats. Later in the evening, since it was the 4th of July, there were fireworks around the city, but unfortunetly none close to us. But Antonio's room is on the 20th floor of his hotel so he was actually able to see fireworks in the distance from several different locations all at once. That was pretty cool. Sorry--he wasn't able to take pictures as none of them were turning out on his iPhone!
Take a look at highlights from our first Sabbath here!
